A small group of people can ruin everything. The country I love, I live in, has been raped and pilaged for the last 6 years ... well, its been going on long before that, but for the last 6 years, she is beginning to show signs of the brutality with which she has been treated.
Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor spoke out, and warned us of the tricky slope we are allowing our country to slide. We are sliding to that of a dictatorship. Where the independence of the judicial branch is being threatened, our congress stagnant and obliging to almost every single request of those in power. The system of checks and balances is failing. Americans sit by idle, and I know that my country is no longer what I fell in love with.
The phrase "Give me liberty, or give me death!" I used to think that is what America meant. The liberty of every individual. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Not war, murder and rackettering. Since when did the mob become America?
I'm smart enough, and capable enough, to survive what my country isn't. I fear for all those in America who, even now, struggle to meet their daily needs. I watch as the rich become richer, and the poor lose everything. What used to be the richest, strongest, smartest country is now slowly started to show signs that its age is over. Those who would subject their beliefs on others are not what America was founded on, but now, what is trumpeted as the foundation of America. Calling a pile of shit a rose still doesn't make it smell any better.
Goodbye my love, my country. I cannot forgive Americans and their willingness to allow their country to die. I hope someday you may realize your faults, although by that time, the blood of so many will be on your hands, you will not deserve to live. Be very aware, the rest of the world is watching, and waiting. Your time will come, they will see too it. To think otherwise is to be deluded by your ignorance. Fail to stand up now, they will take your legs so you are no longer able to stand.
