So the weekend was great. Got to ski for a day, nearly killed myself while doing so. Went to an amazing concert, nearly punched some stupid ski resort kid that felt that this concert was a "let's see which side can be louder" and started screaming "our side" many times trying to get 'his side' to join him. Then there was the hippie who was hitting on our buddy's girlfriend when he was away, to which Jim almost tackled the bastard, but I pulled him back and told him I was watching, and I'd play the drunken guy who talks too close if they guy didn't leave her alone. He left her alone, and I didn't punch the asshole who thought yelling at this concert was a good idea.
Watching Martin play the drums was fantastic though. The simple movement in his thumbs determining the type of hit on his drum kit. Just beautiful. And, besides a woman with a beautiful voice, nothing is more wonderful than a nice string base being played most expertly. Way to go Mr. Wood. And, as always, a 40-something who is balding and rockin' out on the keys is always hillarious, not to mention superbly well rocked, Modesky passed all expectations. Just a great double set by them. Wish it hadn't ended.
Today is a bone-chilling day in Boston. Nothing more than staying warm is what I'll be doing in one hour after leaving work.
