So V-Day yesterday ... I was bartending. Is it wrong to openly flirt with a girl who...

Cutting back on smoking ... didn't work so well last night. Ended going over to my friends house and got pretty blazed. Then we talked politics for a while. I am getting sorta worried about the election this year. Bush staying in for another term is actually one of the likely outcomes, which scares the hell out of me. Damnit, why won't Hillary just go...

Bartending this Saturday. Valentines Day is this Saturday. Excuse me while I spit in your drink.

Laying off of smoking a wee bit. I realized that this last week I went through a whole lot, my voice got all scratchy, don't need that. Gotta keep my voice nice so that I can make easy money from old wealthy women who ask me to come back...

Steak last night, god damn steak is good. I should eat steak at least once a day. That was the best part about growing up in Nebraska, first, it was the best steak, and second, there was lots of it and it was a whole hell of a lot cheaper there. Here, I pay 20 bucks for a nice sirloin, but the sad fact is...

A big pile of tired shit is what I am today. Gonna leave work early to go home and curl up with a comic book and read away, rest a bit, then get ready for tonite, aka the continued week of drunkeness and debauchery.

Time to sink into my chair a bit further and shuffle papers to make it look like I am working, I'll...

Last night was really interesting. I got so fucking stoned that when I sang with my sister, we were just like a pair of jazz musicians. Only people who had any idea of what was going on were us. But I'll be damned if we didn't have a awesome time.

So I am bummed right now. I was hoping to go to Court today to...

The week of drunkeness and debauchery starts now. Going out to lunch, gonna come back with a glazed eye look, then after work, its drinking at home with the sister, then going to my sister's show, then she has her birthday at midnight during the middle of her show, so heavier drinking, then tomorrow we celebrate her birthday. Friday might be a recovery day, just...

I sometimes HATE sports fans. Today there was a parade and ceremony for the Patriots in front of my office in Boston. Stupid stupid stupid fools. I had to travel out to Cambridge for a luncheon at the Harvard Faculty Club, and when I came back on the train, these stupid fucks thought it would be wise to push their way onto the train, and...

What an awesome weekend. Friday night, went over to my friend Sully's, and we just got absolutely stoned out of our minds and mindlessly read comic books till we were nearly passing out. Then Saturday I sadly had to work at the bar. I was making pretty good money, then the entertainer had to leave because her friend that was with her had a heart...

the problem with innocent until proven guilty (not that I think that should be changed) in rape cases is that it is often turned around, so that the victim has to prove that SHE'S innocent (that she's not lying, that she didn't "really" consent and just change her mind, that she was capable of saying no at all, etc). It's a problem making it fair, because on one hand we must assume that the accused is innocent until proven guilty...but on the other hand, how do we go about proving someone guilty when it becomes a he-said she said situation.

Another point that Mackinnon brings up is, how valid is what he says? If a woman, for example, goes on a date with a man, and he tries to have sex with her, and she asks him to stop, but doesn't outright yell "no" or hit him to stop him, she feels that she was raped. And she was, because when someone says to stop, you stop. But if HE feels that she consented, should that matter? Too many cases come dangerously close to letting the accused define rape, which silences women and their definition of force and consent.

Also, I'd like to point out that there's a lot of rumor that false charges of rape happen all the time. Really, a false charge of rape doesn't happen any more often than any other false charges in other types of crime. Not that that makes false accusations any less painful, just pointing out that it's not a rampant thing.

God damn court. I had to drive out to the middle of god damn nowhere to go to this court to go through someone's divorce file. I called the other day to make sure I could look through it, so today, when I get there, I would expect that to work out for me....

Yeah, so if you are in a contemptous divorce, your file...

My sister did a bit of demo recording last night. The stuff turned out really nicely. Soon it should be posted on my friend's website. And shortly afterwards, I should add some male vocals to it. Gonna be a damn good music nerd night sometime in the near future. Woohoo. So last night I arrived after they had put down a piano track and 3...
