So this Super Bowl was pretty odd...with the power outage and all but my girl Beyonce fucking killed it. What a great performance and show all around. I love a big spectacle in any form. Although I could really care less about the game, I enjoy the show and all the spectacle and performance attributes. I always have. I spent the day/evening having the game on but editing all night. Working on the film noir short film that I am was initially not all that pleased with but it is starting to come together. Starting to rough some things out so I can get it to our composer to score the thing. But I am currently in a Marvel mood and watching Captain America, even though it is my least favorite of the franchises, but enjoyable nonetheless. This last week was filled with 16 plus hour work days working on Emmy submissions and new promos and then my regular work of putting shows together and I just find the Marvel films very comfortable and fun and enjoyable and I can't wait to see what they do with the SHIELD tv show and the upcoming Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. What I am most nervous about is the the Superman or Man of Steel, and I'm sorry but Zack Snyder is a goddamn hack and yes 300 is awesome for what it is but everything he has done since then has essentially been 300 and I don't want to see Superman done that way. And again yes, the Superman Returns, for as much as I enjoy it, it is a good spectacle! It is a writing hack job and pulls and even steals from the first two. I am excited for a reboot but I just want it done well. Anyways....too many tangents going on here and it is late and I have to be somewhat productive today so nighty night all.
