ash and i talked to our landlord last thursday re: the kitty issue.
apparently he said his wife and him wanted to "discuss" it first.
anyways, they called me back and said we weren't allowed to have one because (and i quote) : "since it is a rental unit, if we rent the unit out again to someone who might have cat allergies - it could be a problem"
wtf?
that's not a reason. not a reason at all.
it's called vaccuming and possibly getting the carpets steam cleaned - which we offered to do.
also - according to the ontario rental housing tribunal :

Pets

A landlord may evict a tenant for keeping an animal if it:

* caused undue damage,
* caused a serious allergic reaction in another person or the landlord,
* interfered with the normal enjoyment of the property by another tenant or the landlord, for example, causing undue noise,
* acted aggressively to others thus affecting their safety, or
* is a species or breed of animal that is inherently dangerous


well ash called them and just told them what we knew.
and now they called ash back and said they need to "speak to us" on sunday - and that it cannot be done over the phone.

fucking great.
i swear to god - if they try to pull some shit about evicting us or anything
i'm gunna go mental.
if so, i found a place right across the stree from us.
about $75 more that includes:
-parking
-washer and dryer
-HYDRO INCLUDED!!!
-a deck
-fireplace
AND
-PETS ALLOWED!!!
