well well well - another week has gone by.
and here i am updating.

--> on the 12th was my stupid boyfriend's birthday. some of you may know him. he used to be a member on here. anyways, he turned 27. in the morning, before i left for work. i put a birthday card on his bedside table. it was cute and said, "i fucking love you." i thought the sentiment was appropriate. we had a nice quiet evening. i scored us media passes for the girl talk show. but we never ended up going. instead i gave him 2 dufflet cupcakes for his birthday (with 2 candles and 7 candles on another). it was really just nice, quiet and enjoyable. i liked it. we then proceeded to order pizza and then just relax. not a crazy birthday, but a nice one.

--> well, my $200 dj headphones broke. boo! but the nice people at moog audio gave me a brand new pair ... for FREE. sweet.

--> FINALLY wrote my first press release at work! it was amazing. i got it done fairly quickly. i was pretty proud of the results. if you're REALLY interested - you can read it below:

Energy Advantage continues to help cities go green

Prince George partners with Energy Advantage Inc to implement green initiatives

Burlington, ON - September 17, 2007 - Energy Advantage Inc is pleased to announce that it has been appointed as Energy Management Coordinator to the City of Prince George, BC. By 2012, with Energy Advantage's assistance, the city has committed to reducing total emissions to 2% below the levels from 2002. The project -estimated to cost $825,000- will help the city of Prince George achieve its sustainability goals while increasing social responsibility and reducing fiscal costs.

The immediate concern that prompted the Municipality to engage in energy reducing projects was the perceived reduction in air quality in Prince George. Large factories and businesses that conformed to outdated environmental legislation were seen to be emitting excessive quantities of pollutants to the detriment of the local environment. According to data gathered by the city, Prince George produced 1.237 million tonnes of GHG (greenhouse gases) in 2002, of which 7,080 tonnes were emitted by the Prince George's operations and facilities. If the city were to continue emitting at this level without doing anything, emissions were estimated to grow to 1.352 million tonnes by 2012.

"Energy reduction makes sense, both environmentally and financially", Mayor Colin Kinsley of Prince George points out. Energy Advantage will use its Total Energy & Environmental Management Approach to help the city of Prince George find efficient opportunities and create a sustainable program to reduce energy usage. Recently, a pilot program was introduced installing energy saving streetlights. With this program alone, the city expects to reduce energy use and cost by 40%.

"The City of Prince George has provided the model of how municipal governments should be dealing with energy and environment. With this project, the groundwork has been set for other communities to put green initiatives into action," says Roslyn McMann, Account Manager at Energy Advantage. "Outfitting communities with new alternative energy sources, efficiency projects, and community-involved awareness programs will lead to a variety of benefits for the city."

I like quiet birthdays. Well really, I like any day that's quiet. I know...I'm not very exciting. LOL.
