Ok.
So last night I went to this 'fab' party at the new Standard Hotel in lovely Downtown LA. The hotel is fucking awsome. Modernists playground. But I digress. The party was thrown by Levi's and MTV premiering a Roman Coppola video for the band Phantom Planet. It was a great video. Lots of free lix and good times. But here is my question: When did the mullet become high fashion? When exactly did it go down that the haircut we all loved so dearly on hockey players and European Bulldykes become the haircut of choice for the SuperCool? There were all these starlets and supermodels there last night, and they were ALL rocking the same shit. It was like someone handed them the 'guide to rockstar' book and item #3 was 'mudflap haircut.' I hate it. I hate it cuz' I love the mullet and they make me want to hate it for all the wrong reasons. Bah humbug! Anywho.
I know Palm Springs is boring and hot, but I think that is where I want to go. I am actually really looking forward to finding a boring spot. This town is go, go, go- and I want to chill, chill, chill! Everynight there is some big shindig to go to. Tonight a party for Robert Evens, tomorrow night MoCA and Astra/west and Friday is J. Pheonix's party. Who can keep up! So I am ready for floaty chairs in a pool. My cell phone turned off. Hot sun, cool water. Ahhhh! But maybe Santa Barbara? I just don't know anywhere thats cheep. I'll dig...
Hope all is well with yall. Inkedgrrl...I want a t-shirt! When you get em going...put me down for one...we can pick which one out later, but put me down to support!
DigDug's new name tripped me out this AM. How was the Knitting Factory last night? Has Alice settled in yet? Tune in next time- Same Bat-Time...Same Bat-URL:...

alice:
never did i think that the mullet would be the latest fashion trend. but then again, a lot of the things that become trendy usually make me want to throw up....the knitty factory was cool, of course. dr.h was a rock star. i haven't moved out or in yet. my last day is august 13th. so, uh, when are you going to come and hang out again? remember that i still have a copy of my film for you. that's your incentive.
alexys:
