Last night I went to a friends birthday party. He is a pro-skater and all his friends are the same. The party was a fucking riot. Kids (you know the 27 year old variety) so faded they were knocking shit over. So faded they start slapping each others faces as hard as they can for fun. So faded they were passing out in the smokers patio just to wake up to find out their friends have stripped them naked and wrote shit all over their bodies. Yeah. One of those nights.

Tonight I am going to a conference put on by the Peace Now organization. Israelis/Americans who support a peaceful solution to the conflict in the Middle East. These nights get intense. You get Holocaust survivors crying and Palestinian youth enraged. You never know what will come of it. I really enjoy it. I enjoy the dialog. I enjoy knowing that I am not the only one out there who thinks this whole situation ON BOTH SIDES is inexcusable. For too long I sat around feeling impotent- unable to affect a change on my own future. This group makes me feel like I have the ability to make a difference.

Work is a pain in my ass, but at least my boss is heading out of town for two weeks tomorrow. Can you say .mp3 download week? Can you say 4 hour work days? Can you say Margaritas poolside weekday at lunch? I like Los Angeles in the summer. And I love it even more when the boss is out of town. Tootles.
