So I found out that the project I am working on, my baby, has a bit of support behind it that I wasnt expecting. It's wonderful news. I think this film will be off the ground in under six months! I can't wait to get moving on it. When this festival is over...oh...when this festival is over...too bad it just started today.
The funny thing about my work success is that when I try to fit into the box, when I try to blend in with the Hollywood kids, I always feel like shit and nothing happens. But when I walk into the room of suits 'in MY skin' people pay more attension and take notice. The only problem lies in the money. The financers don't and that is a problem. Last night I went to the kick off party for the festival in my K records t-shirt and everyone in the joint was in a suit. I walked out of that joint with my pockets bulging with cards and 'let's do lunches' up the wazoo. Honesty reads. What a lame epiphony. How fucking corrupted am I!? *twitch* I can't believe I ever lost it. I am a bit ashamed.
