It is 80 at night and Warm gusts of wind shake my windows and knock out my power. It's the kind of weather that invites the belief in spirits that roam the earth and a magic I cannot fathom. A sudden flash in the sky is accompanied by a sonic boom...dust in my eyes, I walk down my street and wonder which tree limb will... Read More
riding my bike to class the other day, a gust of wind knocked a tree branch that plumeted to the ground...and hit me on its way down. What are the odds of being hit by a branch while riding at about 15 miles an hour? I think the spirits were trying to tell me to go home and get back in bed...
bedsheets soaked with wine and sweat
candle wax pooling in the carpet

the same soundtrack over and over

I also aquired a taste for The Mooney Suzuki. It was... Read More

ON SEX AND WAR_ There is something more involved_ not just manhood perhaps, but will. It's like a man in the trenches again: he doesn't know any more why he should go on living, because if he escapes now he'll only be caught later, but he goes on just the same, and even though he has the soul of a cockroach and has admitted as... Long day.... A little dehydrated and tired, but I've only had 9 hours of sleep in a couple days...insomnia I guess. I'm still awake, but under the radar so to speak. I can't get it together enough to relax myself into slumber. I'm in this somnambulistic haze....yet wired. It's like an earthquake is coming, only I feel it before it happens.
