I get the serious major panic attacks, so I know exactly how you feel. I was hospitalized once because I had one that lasted 3 weeks (no shit), and stopped eating for 5 days Thankfully those days are behind me, and they'll be behind you too - it does get better with time. I still get 'em, but small doses of tranquilizers work very well.

Just because I'm concerned - make sure to ask your doc before taking anti-depressants for panic attacks, or ask for another opinion. Anti-depressants hype you up and that can be real bad for panic, paradoxically!
