Updating from my mobile b/c my computer is obviously made from lips and assholes. I have a couple of people I'm trying to coordinate with via the web and my computer attempts suicide on me.

So yesterday a storm rolls in so i do the smart thing and completely remove the comp from any ability to be fried by lightning. So said storm passes, and i plug everything in and press power. Boots up for a few seconds then there's a 'pop' noise, the electrical kind of pop that makes you shudder b/c these things dont 'pop' unless they're trying to make you have a very bad day.

'pop', computer reboots on its own, something is burning, surge protector's red 'you're fucked in an uncomfortable place' light glows like a pissed off elemental in WoW.

A tear hits the ground.

For fucks sake the only thing keeping me sane in this place is my computer, and my computer just said 'pop'.

So my power supply was fried, a case fan was melted, had to locate the unmarked and undoucmented jumpers to reset the bios so it would even power up, then i began the terrific journey to see why the computer would reboot every time windows start.

I narrowed it down to a hardware issue, after a try to install on a clean hard drive yielded a reboot. Now figuring out what took a hit and what is causing reboots is a pain when you have to find the proper combination between 3 dimms of ram, 3 hard drives, usb2 card, new power supply which itself is shady, vid card, modem, cdrom, network card, processor, motherboard, sound card, and every cable linking them.

Fucking 'pops'

So i've managed to get things stable with only 1 hard drive, all my ram, and vid card.

I believe Satan is currently residing in my motherboard.

all i want to do is finish turning in Shayne's next set and use that $ to evict Satan.

In other news i was hired for my secondary job, the 10-16hr a week job to compliment a full time job, which hopefully i will be hired for tomorrow. This third interview has to be the final one for Geek Squad, the only person left to interview me is God.

Hmm maybe i should have him work on my computer.
