So occasionally I do get off my ass in the winter, pull myself away from the computer, and wander about COSI with Astronauts and Senators.
I Gaffed the shoot, which means I did all the lighting setups, and it was kind of fun to shoot it on a new Panasonic HD camera that hit the market.
John Glen is pretty cool, really nice guy and asks all the right questions. A funny quote from the shoot was when the Director and Assistant Director were going over the script, the Director questioned whether or not something in the type difficult for Glen to read/pronounce or something along those lines. The AD turns to the Director and says:
"I think he can handle it Rick, the man's been to fucking space. Twice."
You can actually watch the finished commercial HERE.
Not that it's all that exciting of a commercial really, but it's sometimes fun to actually see the end product and share it with others. I'd say that 2/3rds of the commercial/films/projects I shoot I've never even see.
Kind of sucks if you think about it.
