As you know, I sympathize. I've been pondering lately, is it better to live with a guarded heart to protect one's self from pain, or rather bear it all in complete vulnerability, accepting the hurt when it comes, but knowing you didn't hold back?

I've been following the second choice, and it really, really sucks.
