my life feels like a circus.
sometimes i'm up walking the tightrope. it's dangerous, but exhilerating. the spotlight's on me. everyone's looking on in awe and amazement. and i always know i have my safety net. but sometimes i fall. and i hit the cold earth below me with a thud. the safety net failed and my body's twisted and broken on the floor unable to get up, just another one of the sideshow freaks.
and all the time the world around me is nothing but a cheap and gaudy construction of things built to amuse, but withering under the lights of closer inspection. overpriced and insubstantial.
and what of you, my fickle yet demanding audience? what do you want from me? and what happens when you're all gone?
