Oh my god. Long awaited or what?!
So yes. Indeed I have pulled my finger out and am now attempting to re-enter the word of writing about myself!
A LOT has happened since my last blog, and I don't eve know where to start...
Well, I'm moving in a month or two, down to the sunny coast, in Hastings. I'll be a ten minute walk away from work rather than an hour train! Which will most certainly be good. I'm moving in with some really cool guys as well - one's another cool film-maker type, one's an animator and chef -!- and the other is a media student who hasn't found his calling yet, but is a dood. What more could I ask for??
The place is onwned by number 1's mum, so she only charges enough rent to cover the mortgage payments, and spilt between four it's something silly like 40 a week.
I'm going to be moving out of my comfort zone which is scary, as my comfort zone is very comfortable and nearly 21 years in the making!
So wish me luck!
Work-wise, I'm in pre-production of a documentary about crazy golf, following a professional and favourite to win, and an inexperienced underdog through the trials and tribulations of the Planet Hastings Crazy Golf Open Tournament next month. Intrigued?? Well when it's made we'll be peddling it to all the TV stations to see if someone will pick it up. I think it's great because it's a nice quirky little thing that never gets covered really, it has a lot of comic and charming potential. What do you think? Feedback?
Also, the creative director of my company has heard my pitch for my feature film and he wants to see a four-page treatment, then hopefully after we've finished shooting the documentary next month we;ll go into pre-production with that, looking to start filming late Summer. Well excited!
And a sky channel is interested in taking on a short film I made ages ago to screen. So watch this space.
Everything is pretty exciting. Since I wanted to get into film, I've known it would happen eventually through sheer determination, but I could never really see it actually happening, but now I can! I'm surrounded by brilliant creative people making a success of everything. One of my friends has just got a music video picked up by channel four so that'll be on there soon. Anyway this sounds like a rant. Or the opposite ofa rant. What is that? A ramble? Yeah.
So anyway, I fear I've burned any kind of friendships I've made on here, but if anyone still cares and will read this, comments are, as ever, more than welcome.

Todays reccommendations of brilliant things:

Book: "The Catcher in the Rye". I think I've read this book about a million times, but not for weeeeeks. Re-reading it again, and it actually is the best book ever written.

Album: "Love" by the Beatles. Not a love album compilation, rather a remastering of a collection of basically all of their best songs! Was made as a soundtrack for a Cirque Du Soleil show, and is just brilliant.

Film: "Perfume: the story of a murderer". Sadly this film has been grossly overlooked and not been seen by the masses. But it is a fantastic film! That's all there is to say. Brilliant acting, brilliant story, obsessive and creepy. I Definitely up on the list with Pan's Labyrinth, Tideland, The Last King of Scotland and The History Boys for my favourite film of last year.

Other Films: "Pan's Labyrinth", "Tideland", "The Last King of Scotland" and "The History Boys".

If everyone would heed this advice and watch them all, it would make me happy!

Love to you all. x
The End.
