Well after that last huuugely successful blog... another.

This week I have been getting more and more desperate to move out! My brother is back from uni which means sharing a room again, and I'd gotten nicely used to having my own space. The first night he was home, I came back from work after a knackering one and with the prospect of only a few short hours before having to wake again, and with nothing but restfulness on my mind, I trudge upstairs and what do I find but my brother and three of his mates being laddish in what is clearly and rightfully my space!! How dare he!? ...Well okay it's clearly and rightfully his space too. And therein lies the rub. Oh well. Hastings beckons, and being given keys to the studio today felt like "welcome home".

(Cue token rant)
'Twas Thursday, the knackering day in question. Possibly one of the worst days ever. Overslept for a start when I said I'd be in first thing. So I'm woken by a text message to the note of "Get to the studio as soon as you can I desperately need you to do something for me!". I took it upon myself to get up and dressed and out of the house in ten minutes, which I managed, though not without the feeling I'd forgotten something... (turned out I'd forgotten my phone, so half the way to the trian station I have to run back and get it. There's another message: "Are you nearly there?" (I am, of course, not. And to boot, I've missed my train). End up getting there are half past 11, and find out what it is I'm needed for. "Take this" (work stuff) "and take it to London". Which, I might add is a 2 hour train away. I then rush to this post production house in Soho, battling past a mix of locals, street-sales-people, slow people, fast people, pushy pimps and their merchandise, and get there just on time. And then I prepare to get back to work but am told to wait there til 5. Which might sound nice if not for the cold, and the lack of money which I have to battle against temptations of warmth etc. Money is obviously spent, overdraft is increased. This rant is getting slightly too long. Basically, though, many errands and problems later I end up back home at some time just after midnight, at which point the brother story comes into play.

However, if I'd gone back and seen myself it would have been a case of "chill man, turn that frown upside down!". Problems were overcome and you got a day in London. Including a trip to my favourite cafe on the Southbank. So it was probably all worth it. Just very tiring.

On Saturday, our DVDs arrived which I had to bring in:

So all is good.

And I actually am starting to feel a bit Christmassy! So yay for that!

Indeed today I had a really great day, not least because of the worlds nicest person talking to me in the street. Granted, she was getting me to give money to charity and would otherwise doubtful have looked at me, but nonetheless, she did. She was just one of those crazy slightly ditsy people (but not in a horrible fake way) who I love. And she had a big fluffy hat and gloves. And a nice smile. So I ended up signing up to it. There's a moral problem of questionable motives, but even so, it's done.

I also photographed a bank machine which has oft fascinated me:

And, with a few minutes spare, I hid.

Thank you and goodnight.
=) xxxx
