For those dedicated few who really get into their blog reading, the "Train Ride" section of the 'Spirited Away' Soundtrack by Joe Hisaishi sums up my current mood ~on top of being one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever~ and is a reccommended accompaniment to this blog. In other words, if you don't have it, I'm sure it's available for perfectly legal, low cost download.

whatever

On the whole, no huge development has occurred since my last blog. If I haven't been asleep, I've been working on editing this documentary or on a train to work. Well, it feels like that at least. I'm sure it's not entirely true.

On Monday ~yesterday then, in fact~ I got to work to find that no-one was in the office because they'd been shooting in London on Sunday for 22 hours! So I waited in 'The Street' a cool bar quite literally a stones throw away from my window at the studio, where I had my first black coffee for ages and rekindled my love for the simple pleasure that is. Though I'm sure it won't take the place of a good cup of tea! Anyway, given the chance to sit and relax I took out my pen and paper and worked on a really nice concept for a film which I'm going to get made over the winter, which I think is going to be awesome!

Angus who owns and runs HastingsFreeTV.com at work came up with this brilliant system for making low budget films really easily. The idea is based on the principal that the idealised standards of high concept, high budget filmmaking are not as important as just making a film and telling a decent story. So we're all going to come up with ideas using as few characters as possible, as few and as accessible locations as possible, and so on... then shoot over two or three days, edit over two or three days and put on the net for download really cheap (something rediculous like $1) and we'll have a feature film fully completed and making money after a week! Fucking genius.

My brother was back from uni over the weekend which was cool. We drank tea and played Final Fantasy and Who Wants to be a Millionnaire on the Playstation. This seems to be a reccurring theme in my life. We also played a great game where we lie on our backs and throw a mini-rugby ball at the ceiling and aren't allowed to move out of its way. The idea being you aim for the other person. It hurt, frequently.

I would now like to announce that I think I have fallen in love again:

Yes indeed, none other than Ms J(essica) B(eatrice) Fletcher, of Murder, She Wrote fame. Lol. I think murder she wrote is actually the perfect show (with the exception of The X Files of course). I used to hate it because I thought it was just a cheesy detective show, now I love it because it IS JUST A CHEESY DETECTIVE SHOW! No other program has ever had episode titles as good as: "Hooray for Homicide", "Hit, Run and Homicide", "Murder Takes the Bus" and the brilliant "Joshua Peabody Died Here... Possibly?" And for my last birthday my best friend bought me series one and two on DVD so I'm starting the collection there! One day I will have them all!!

And lastly, to continue the slightly obscure theme of hiding, my hiding place this week was behind the drawers:

That's it for this time - apart from I'M SEEING MARTIN GRECH ON THURSDAY! WOOHOO!

Love and Peace
=)

yeah, sorry. My name's not Iris. Would be cool if it was. But hey. And really? You like the name Christina? You weirdo! It took your comment for me to realise I've posted my full name on suicidegirls. Oh well. I've got nothing to hide! So see, it was a useful comment smile

Its a horrible name! Ick. I just don't even know where to begin. I don't look like a Christina. I don't act like a Christina. And there are no goos short versions of the name. Chris is my favourite but it makes me sound like a man. And I'm pretty sure I don't look or act like a man.

At least I hope I don't....
