It's always nice to be reminded why I enjoy teaching swim lessons sometimes. This evening, I more than didn't want to go in, and considered just not showing up. And even though others seem to get away with that all of the time, I know that I'd more than get into trouble, so I showed up, and ended up making a difference. Two of my crying tiny tots (3 year olds) stopped crying long enough to swim to the wall, and my adults who were afraid of water three weeks ago, jumped into 11 feet of water, and swam across the pool unassisted. The thank you's and looks of accomplishments make me feel as though I've really done something. I like to think I've helped at three adults and two children learn how to be safer in the water.
