Gus 2, fence 0.
So, we patched the fence from the first break through. Turns out that the wood was water damaged (we're now getting a brick wall, but that's besides the point). Once we got Gus back over on the other side, he punched another whole through the fence.

Too bad Gus has competition over on the other side. Meet Pokey.
Pokey is a Californian desert tortoise who resides with the Aldabra ladies. He's in love with them. So much so that instead of hibernating (which is what he's supposed to be doing at the moment) he's up protecting his large loves.
He actually ran after and nipped at Gus' hind legs (if you can imagine a tortoise running and biting). Eventually chasing Gus back over to his appropriate side of the exhibit/night house.
Life at the zoo is never boring.
