My thoughts were so loud I couldn't hear my mouth...
Tomorrow we move the baboons. It's official. At eight, the first one will be darted, examined, moved - blah blah blah... then at twelve, the next one will be moved. There are five altogether, so it's going to be a long long day. I moved four bails of hay to complete the night house... all snug and ready for their arrival. While making sure all is ready, I also had the first of two interviews. I wasn't nervous until one of the keepers came up to me ten minutes before I was to go in for the sit down to prep me on what to say and how to sell myself. Great. There were two people ahead of me, and they were interviewed by Margaret and Julie - section B and C lead supervisors. My turn comes around, and in walks Colleen and her dog (today was her day off). I was interviewed by Margaret, Julie and Colleen - the curator. Margaret and Julie took turns asking questions, and Colleen sat and listened, then she asked a question - and according to the other keepers, her asking a question is a good sign. I'm not going to hold my breath, but I'm light headed from the lack of oxygen.
I have a working interview on Monday.
Baboons move tomorrow.
I'm just a little stressed.
Just a little.
