Going back to the last post... jobs were brought up like librarian's and how there are certain people that look the part... or mechanics. Some people look like business men/women and so on and so forth. In accordance to the group that I was in discussion with, 'average women' zookeepers either look somewhat dykish or homely, or somewhat of a combination of the two. How one dresses outside of work attire was brought up as well, and it seems that when I do wear clothes
, I guess to put it bluntly, my shorts are shorter and my tank tops are smaller. If any of that makes sense. And it' s not like it's a bad thing, but it has nothing to do with the job itself. I do however, think that others pre judge me, or others for that matter, and then are proven wrong and made to rethink what they originally thought. It branches out to others categorical things too... I'm often thought to not have gone to the school that I graduated from, or to have chosen the major that I did. Just proves to show that you can't judge a book by it's cover, but you can sometimes chose a decent wine by it's attractive label
In other news of the world, after a long eventful weekend, I'm sick in bed. I have the nastiest cold, and Im hoping that I'm the only one suffering. Movies in the park, drinks with friends, and outdoor symphony adventures are well worth it though. I do regret not meeting up with Alicia though... a road trip for sure will have to be planned.
