Like every evening, I'm ready to tell you another chapter of my story.😇
The little girl was still on that cold bed, in pain. The doctor's hands were still busy stretching her tendons. He tried in vain to distract the little girl from the doctor, but he was too strong to stop thinking about it.
After the doctor had carefully "warmed up" the little girl's tendons, he placed a chair a few meters away, took the little girl from the bed, and placed her on the chair. She was very scared, not knowing what to expect now, whether it would hurt again. The doctor took a few steps away and, holding out his hands, began to explain the new exercise. The goal was endurance; the little girl would have to hold on for as long as possible in an upright position. Hearing these words, she was overcome with anxiety. She felt fear taking control of her body. She kept asking herself many questions: would she be able to do it? The doctor obviously realized this and began to reassure her.
The little girl took a deep breath and, looking at the doctor, told him she was scared. She couldn't handle it, her body felt as if it were paralyzed. She couldn't calm down. She knew very well that if she stood up, if the doctor wasn't careful, he would make her fall. She just couldn't handle it, not yet, not right now.
The doctor, hearing these words and seeing that the little girl had started crying, had an idea. He told her to wait a moment and said he'd be right back.
The little girl didn't know what to expect, she just knew she wanted to go home. She needed her parents, to feel more protected and less vulnerable, and to do that, she needed her family. She continued waiting a couple more minutes, and when she finally saw the door open, her little heart almost leaped out of her chest. Her little sister was standing behind the doctor, smiling at her. She almost couldn't believe it. Vanessa approached her and gave her a big hug, almost as if she wanted to transform that hug into strength to endure the new exercise.
The doctor explained the exercise again so Vanessa could fully understand it. At that point, the little warrior felt filled with an inner strength she hadn't known she possessed. Vanessa positioned herself a few steps away from them and, after placing her hand close to the doctor's, it was as if the two hands were coming from the same person, but with different dimensions.
After a few moments of "meditation," the little girl signaled to the doctor and her sister Vanessa that she was ready to begin the new exercise. The little girl placed her two hands on the other two in front of her. She felt the strength of these two hands as they held her steady and balanced her. The fear and worry had all vanished in one fell swoop. At the same time, the little girl tried to steel her legs to stand up straight. The pain began to pervade every cell in her body, except that it was even stronger now than before. She felt as if her legs were on fire. Of course, she knew it was just a feeling, but it was damned strong and real. Despite this, the little warrior didn't give up, with increasing difficulty with every passing second. However, after a handful of minutes that seemed like hours, she finally managed to stand up straight. She almost couldn't believe it. Vanessa's face said it all. Tears were streaming down her face. She was jumping with happiness. The two sisters looked into each other's eyes, and with tear-streaked cheeks, they began to laugh. It was a mix of emotions they had never felt before.
The doctor slowly guided the little girl to the chair. His face was filled with happiness, he was smiling at her as if they had just won the lottery. As the little girl sat there in that chair, waiting for the doctor to put her back in the wheelchair, all she could think about was how her parents would react to the wonderful news.
Just then, my parents entered the room where they had left their daughter. They immediately noticed that something "strong" had happened in that space. They immediately went to their daughters and, while hugging them, asked the doctor if there had been any improvements or changes. The doctor, in turn, responded to my parents with a big smile, letting them know that something good had happened within these four walls. Seeing this behavior, they sat down in front of the doctor's desk and began asking endless questions; the doctor began to explain...
And here we are, once again today we have reached the end of this chapter. I beg you, you know, that I care to know what you think.
