Analogy time.
I've come to find that posting a blog on SG is a lot like having a funeral for a goldfish.

It's awkward, and you feel as though you should say a few words... but anything that comes to mind seems awfully frivolous and inappropriate.

Best to keep quiet and buy another one before the kids notice.
