Happy Election Day! I'm feeling good that I got my vote on and if all goes well I won't need to move to Canada... 
now for some things that make me go hummmmmmm....
Prop 8 is that nasty little prop in CA threatening to overturn gay marriage if it passes. Folks from either side have been out on street corners for weeks holding signs, etc. this morning on the way to the polls I saw a middle class family on the corner, complete with their elementary school aged children holding signs to vote YES on 8. I find it puzzling that they would have their children out there..(obviously they pulled them out of school for this) because supporters of prop 8's major argument is that they fear that gay marriage will be taught in school. *cough* if you don't want your kids to learn about gay marriage, why would you drag them out on the street to petition for something they probably don't even understand...I mean wouldn't you need to explain to your child what the proposition is (oh hey they'll have to learn what gay marriage is, oh noes!!!!!) and why they need to spend a portion of their day on a street corner promoting well...discrimination. that's good parenting right there
It really bothers me when I see people forcing their young children to get involved in adult matters. it's completely irresponsible and well...just plain DUMB. I do not approve.
