or something like that. because every year at tax time they call our business up and start asking us how to do thier job. ok we are an investment firm, we are not authorized or qualified to give tax advice.

they wanna know what an implicit redemption is. ok. no problem. it's basically a reinvestment of money in a clients account. I have a handy dany complete explanation of what it is that I can email or fax to the CPA along with a cost basis to further clear things up. it really should anwers their questions...and it does for about half of them. the other half call me back and say but how do I report this?

ummmm I DON"Y KNOW, we don't do taxes and you are the tax professional, don't you have other tax professional people you can call an ask? a hotline maybe for moronic CPAs?

it's like a brain surgeon asking his anitesiology how to perfom a special type of brain surgery. duh. he doesn't know he just puts the patient to sleep!

sorry I just delt with the biggest bitch of a CPA. She was awful.
