Forever in blue jeans? The rise and fall of denim in my life.

I use to love wearing jeans. I lived in them. they were perfect, especially that really old pair that was butter soft from years of everyday wear and washing. the pair that usually ended up as cut off shorts in the summer because the holes in the knees had gotten so big any how. I remember them being so comfortable. As a catholic school girl I couldn't wait to get home, tear off my uniform and put on my favorite pair of faded denim.

but in the last few years thats changed. I'm not sure if the jeans have changed or I have changed. I haven't had a pair of buttersoft jeans in years and the more jeans I try on the more I hate them. thy'ere stiff and ristricting. there's too much crap stiched in to the back pockets or they've got that fake intentionally distressed look. tell me why I souljd pay 75 bucks for jeans with holes in them? holes are suppose to be earned not bought. There are so many differnt cuts and stules you must try them on to be sure they work. Too many of them are ultra lowrise, made for 13 yearld stick figure girls. Most of them are too long for me. Nothing is more fusterating to me and trying to find the perfect pair of jeans. I just don't like jeans anymore. boy I never saw that coming.

Gimme a nice, soft pair of black or kaki twills any day. maybe even navy twills. or a pair of corduroys. Maybe I'm just getting older but comfort and mobility is really important to me and lately jeans have offered me neither.

I think maybe I'll hit up the thrift stores for one last look for a nice pair of broken in jeans. Otherwise I think it's time to say farewell to an old friend.

holy lord, we're like..... the same person. i've been SO frustrated with jeans lately. i used to LIVE in my levi's silvertabs....so soft and comfy. now, even the jeans i've had for 3+ years are still stiff and rigid. BLAH.

Jeans really do suck these days....
I hate the super skinny fit that really aren't flattering for many people...
I hate the ultra low rise coz that's just nasty on the majority of people out there...
I don't get paying a ton of cash for ripped jeans when I could do it myself...

Blah.
