your hair is awesome! i was thinking last night that i wanted to change my hair later this year. i am going to cut it shorter for sure. i would like to keep some kind of funky side bamgs, but i'm thinking about dying it black (only if it's possible... i've heard it's really hard to go from bleach-blonde to anything else). i love haircuts. and i want to have darker, low-maintenance hair that's a little more discrete for asia.
it's a little hard to tell from your pic, but your hair is pretty dark with highlights, right? super hot. that's a good cut for hair pulling.
i have to say, every time i've gone to different SG sites lately, i post a comment after "shameless". i hope she doesn't think i'm stalking her. i swear it's a fucking coincidence. not that i don't have the potential to be a a stalker, but i'm not stalking now.
by the way, we have some big things in common. aside from being a veggie, (vegetarian) i love books of the same genre (have you read "how to make love like a porn star"? it's a quick, simple, but fun read.... or "smack"? i read it years ago, but i remember it being good) and my favorite artist is mucha. i'm waiting to get a tattoo in that style if my friend that said he would draw it would ever actually give me my books back! and on top of all that, i love science. i majored in bio and minored in chemistry in college : )

when I first started this whole internet thing, it took a while to find friends, but believe me, if you participate in any online community, you will find like-minded souls, and they will find you.
this is a tough thing. I've been through a similar situation, but I bet it wasn't as intense as yours is. I wish you much luck, and hopefully that either he gets his act together or that something works out for the both of you.

yes. he was a doc. it's the staff of Asclepius and it "symbolizes the healing arts by combining the serpent, which in shedding its skin is a symbol of rebirth and fertility, with the staff, a symbol of authority, befitting the god of Medicine."

I think I'm opting to do outline and shading will add color later. will give me something to look forward to. I've picked a nice painful spot for it too. prolonging pain. heh.

Man. You are amazing. I don't think I could handle getting a needle into my eye. Thank god that they have treatment and that the treatment wasn't too invasive or complicated.
A year ago, my dad's retina started detaching. To try and not do surgery, they essentially "blew up a bubble" in his eye, pressing the retina back in place, and hoped that it would heal itself. Now, my dad is pretty hard core. He's seen and been through some shit. He took me aside that day, and he said, "_____, that was horrible. It was all I could do to keep from screaming." Scary.
He was supposed to lay on his side for a week. But what did he do? Two days after the procedure he went to the indian casino. "Good job," we told him. So he had to do surgery. He's fine now.
I look forward to reading more of your journals! I love technical aspects of things. The more details, the better, is my journaling philosophy.
