My boyfriend and I are no longer together for reasons I won't disclose in public simply out of respect. However, all the dirty details will be posted in my friends only Livej. Wellll, anyways, like any self respecting woman I took a sanity day off work (being employed by your mother DOES have its perks after all) to do things such as:
* clean obsessively while listening to cleverly cynical music (see: Modest Mouse, Metric, Say Hi to Your Mom)
* go shopping, because even for a non-shopper like me, new beachy summer shoes and staring at photography equipment sure does perk one up
* hiking with the puppy: it is ridiculously gorgeous outside which makes it damn easy to feel great
* gardening! I'm finally getting my herbs planted and putting in irises
I guess I haven't yet mentioned here that I failed to find a decent job in Guelph and, while I still have my apartment there, I'm at home for the summer and working for my mother. I'm basically her office bitch. On the bright side, doing this has allowed me to afford a new Nintendo Wii and I am looking at lenses for my camera, thinking along the lines of (Canon) 70-200mm f/4 L USM. Mmmmm delicious telephoto zoom.
