It's interesting to me how, in my younger days (because I am so very old), I had certain expectations from the the opposite sex. To me, there was a very strong belief in a sequence of events that would take place once the pursuit begins. After last night, it was made very clear to me how much that has changed. I just want to enjoy life and the company of human beings. I'm not even talking sexually, necessarily. Intimacy doesn't HAVE to accompany a 'romantic' relationship. Just because I can walk arm-in-arm with you and discuss life and love and careers doesn't mean I have a white picket fence in mind. Last night was full of too many expectations.
