Birthday Bash recap!!!
Ok, so Friday being the longest day ever, and the week before it being the LONGEST week in history, I finally left work for Los Feliz for my friend M0ngrel and his wife Jennifer's abode. Upon arriving, I was assaulted by their dog Bruno. Bruno's my pal. He loves me, but not as much as he loves his parents. =P
Chad arrived probably less than 10 mins after I did. Once we were all together, Chad and I shared a vodka redbull, and proceeded with the gift opening. Upon opening the exquisitely wrapped Amoeba Records bag, with a card insert of BEWBZ!, I reached in, pulled out a Rodrigo y Gabriella CD and a billfold of $1's wrapped in the center by a picture of Jumbo's Clown Room !!!!
Then after much cheering and jubilation, we headed to Tropicalia for an awesome Brazilian dinner. We had sangria to go with our foods. It was totally delish by all means. And of course at the end, they brought out a slice of cake for the 3 of us to share. After we finished, we walked back to their house, settled and watched a Tool video that was VERY trippy. Then headed to JUMBO'S!
Jumbo's was an experience. We totally had a lot of fun and drank a lot of alcohol. Upon entering, within the first couple of dances, a small, petite, totally cute gothy alty girl comes out in a wedding dress and veil, and starts dancing to Billy Idol's White Wedding!! It was awesome!! We laughed, cheered, tossed money at her. Later in the evening, she hung out with us for a little bit. Chad bought her a drink, and she asked me to choose her next song from either Iron Maiden or Ramones. I chose Ramones and she gave me a wicked smile. /swoon. Too fucking cute I tell ya. The evening was capped off by a performance by an asian dancer that did a whole dance act to Kung Fu Fighting that had the place rolling!!
After being told to leave, I headed for the cute wedding dancer chick, and whispered into her ear thanking her for making my birthday evening complete. Which she then gave me a hug and a peck on the cheek. Heehee.
We then walked home, talking loudly, waking the dead, and just having a good ol' time. We tried to stay up and watch some TV and drink more, but I think we were just too pooped from work and all the fun we had. I ended up zonking on the couch before being ushered into the guest room onto the air mattress.
We all got up the next morning at 8:30am and promptly got dressed and headed to Fred62 for coffee and breakfast. A perfect cap on an already awesome night. I was sad when I had to leave for San Diego.
I want to once again thank Chad and his lovely wife Jennifer for throwing together the BEST bash in my life. I mean that. It was just awesome!!
