i bet its cause you've spent most of your life worrying about making everyone else happy or content that you've forgoten how to be 'your' best pal, and take care of you... oh wait, thats how 'I' feel about my life. Hrmmm... well, maybe we're similar in those regards

anywho... it takes some time. i'm just recently starting to think of me me me.
i'm not sure that i like it much, but i've gone down a pant size and my bills are getting smaller (and some are even going away)
