Tomorrow will be a year that Bettie Page, the lovely, the beautiful THE one and only passed away.



I watched a rerun of the Victoria Secret runway show last night and every single model added together can't measure to Bettie.
Tanned and plastic with protruding collarbones and long limbs and not to mention faces that look "tweenaged" I was completely and utterly bored.
I guess to most of the world, I'm a dumbass for not getting a hard on for the standard bombshell look for women thats been popularized for so long.
But it doesnt do it for me. They dont have it.
But Bettie did.
She exuded something unique, something special and something that will last the test of time.
Even forty years later, guys like me that shell never meet, never know, still worship her like an icon and like a goddess. Somehow Id like to think that if I could of met her she would laugh that type of adulation off, and show how down to earth she really is. (And still manage to make me melt in my chair by flipping her hair back, or a simple smile or even just a touch on the shoulder)
Now I know when she passed, she didnt look as she did in her modeling days but Im glad the world will remember her that way.
Now whenever the latest whoever wants to be risqu (and out come the Irving Klaw bondage photo imitations) I can simply say Bettie.
Bettie did it. Bettie was it.
And will forever be it.
