I wish I had my own computer. For as long as I can remember, I've always gotten my internet/computer fix, using other people's computers. Yep. Every little bit of art I've made, every image I've uploaded... Every blog/journal post... It's all been on someone else's shit. It just goes to show both sides of the same story, I guess... It shows just how big a moocher I am (and also how broke I usually am, so much so that I don't have the cash to buy my own shit...), and it also illustrates just how nice and awesome the people I know are, day in and day out.
I'm about to head out in a bit. Chill at a friend's house. Drink beer and alcohol purchased before 2 am this evening. Trying to get a hold of any type of alcohol around here after 2 is always interesting, usually involving calling a lot of people until someone gets in touch with someone who is in the military, who can go on base and buy beer. If you're on base, North Carolina alcohol sales laws and regulations appparently don't apply, which is why a lot of the military people I know, and the few that I regularly associate with, are usually on their way to being passed out right before the sun comes up, on the weekends.
The cultural history of Russia is damn insteresting. I've been reading a book about it, bit by bit, over the last few weeks or so. It's called "Natasha's Dance", if you feel the need to check it out. It's really good...In my opinion, anyway... But then again, I'm a dork like that.
That's pretty cool that SG has the Ipod video thing going on now. I realize that what they have up so far looks like the same stuff that's on the SG DVD, but still... I think it's pretty cool. Makes me want to get an Ipod. I have an mp3 player, my fake Ipod, and I wanted to buy another one a while back, but Ipods are damn expensive. Besides that, I already have more than 15 gigs of music uploaded to mine already, and I'm not in a hurry to get anything else.
The Ipod Video, though... Mmmm. I'm such a nerd for little gadgets and such.
From the looks of it, drinking with friends notwithstanding, I'm probably going to be staying up all night tonight, only to head out again tomorrow morning to get all my shit taken care of, everything I was supposed to have done today before work, but missed out on, for the sake of some sweet, sweet sleepy-time.
In the midst of all my friends' manic techno-lust over Myspace, I'm so, so glad SG is here. This site and the people on it, are probably the only things that keep me sane on a daily basis. That and large quantities of alcohol and coffee (not at the same time, though. Beer and coffee is a bit disgusting...).
You, all of you (SG and Myspace people), rock so much more than I can think to express via repetitive keystrokes...
