I just got home from my best friends birthday outing. I'm fucking wasted.
It was good to get out of my normal element and hang with people I don't usually see.
See, this is my ex. The mother of my children. We're only now, nearly 2 years after the fact able to hang out and do things like normal friends.
It was a big step for both of us.
I love her. I always will, but circumstances being what they are prevent us from ever being involved in each other like we were for nearly a decade, ever again.
That being said, she IS my best friend and I couldn't imagine life without her.
It was a good night, and I'm just about to crash for the night.
I hope I helped make her night a good one.
