So despite the awful mental/emotional state I've been in these last several weeks, I dj'd at Ruckus tonight.
It has been the highlight of these last several days so-far. I really did have a mega-fuck-ton of fun and I really enjoy being a part of a night like that again.
I decided not to take a cab home and I walked all the way from downtown to the house I live in North Portland. It took about 45 minutes, maybe less, but the air was crispy and it was somewhat cleansing.
I'm supposed to join some fools for breakfast tomorrow, and then head out to Gresham to pick up my son around 1, I don't know if I'll make it to breakfast. I am looking forward to being Dad again this weekend. I love my little dude so much.
To all of those I've neglected contact with over the last month or so, its not you, it is me.. to the very core of things. I need to be somewhat detached for a while and for that I apologize. I will return in whatever glory I have to muster sometime in the future, but for now, I need to get through this patch of self loathing on my own.
Anyway, It was a great end to a weird week. Hopefully this trend will continue.
