I'm glad that I get tomorrow off work. I don't need the day off, but I will enjoy it none-the-less. I still haven't figured out what I am going to do tomorrow night for Fireworks though.
I probably won't do anything. I'll probably just end up at a bar and drink. I didn't get invited to any BBQs or "lets get high/drunk and meet at XXX location to watch the fireworks" type of things.
I should probably just invite myself to whatever I know is going on. OR I could not go out, and relax, sleep, whatever. That would be nice. It would be better enjoied with someone else, but whatever.
I discovered over the weekend that due to either working in bars and clubs or being a homebody these last 6-8 years, I have no idea what to do in Portland on a Saturday night. Most weekends I was either playing Promoter/DJ or being at home with my kids. Its been that way since I was 16. I really have no idea what people my age do on the weekends. Let alone on a Saturday night. I just bar hopped. I thought that was the most sensable use of my time. Though, I do that during the week, so that wasn't any big change.
I get to experiment on Friday. I get off work at 10p and will get downtown around 1030. From there, who knows? I would like to find something to do on either Friday or Saturday nights. I have a hard time hanging out at night clubs because I get antsy and feel like I should be doing something. Im what you call a "back seat DJ." I'm over critical of the music, the technique and whatever. I rarely have fun at night clubs. I should try to find one, or a bar that I can just hang out at. I don't know.
What do all of you do on the weekends while you're out? Where does a vegetarian nerd, who skateboards and drinks a lot go on a weekend? Besides Ground Kontrol?
I don't do Karaoke, cause I can't sing to save my life. I spend way to much money if I go to strip clubs. I would just see concerts, but they usually start earlier then I am willing to leave my house for. I don't wear white belts or have emo hair, so fitting in at the hipster places is a no-go.
Maybe this is a sign that I should open up a new club night for retards like me.

I was there tonight, I don't think I'll be back tomorrow. But we should go soon. Preferably after I get paid because right now I have approximately 10 dollars to my name.
