This weekend was a busy one.
Friday night:
I had a yummy dinner at La Fonda Latina with two gorgeous girls, my lovely friend cascada and missLlona. We met up with the boys (apologies, spaghetti, boychucker, and 3030vision) at Lenny's, where they kicked as at pool and we danced to good old Motown. This made me soooo happy.
Saturday:
We all hung out at Piedmont Park with Sherlock, who is definitely not cut out for frisbee-catching. He's a lazy butt. He did get to meet some nice dogs, though, and we all got to check out the hotties at the park.
I picked up my friend Sabra after that and we all met up at the Local and had some beer and hush puppies, and then I went to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with spaghetti and boychucker. It was much better than I thought it would be. I wasn't sure if it would live up to what people were saying, but it was beautiful and funny and sad, and before I knew it I felt like I was going to cry. Michel Gondry is a certifiable genius. Oooooh, also, I can't wait to see Garden State-my crush on the goofy guy from Scrubs has intensified.
Who knew he could write and direct, too?
Also, my dad called me Saturday night to tell me I had a flight back to Houston early Sunday morning. I came back home, attempted to pack, read, and decided that I was going to change my flight. I am now leaving on Tuesday morning. My dad is pissed as hell, but there was no charge to change the ticket, and I wasn't ready to leave so early on such short notice. I guess I'm pissed at my dad for scheduling my flight so early, and with myself for having to rely on him for everything. Same old family shit. At least I got to cook with my mama this morning. My cat Oliver is trying to bite Sherlock's tail on the couch right now. I don't want to go back to Texas yet.
