I found the cutest valentine ever on my desk yesterday, from my dad. He wrote that he is very glad I'm a part of his life. We have had our difficult times, my dad and I, but I think living out here is helping us get to know eachother again. His card was very sweet! I appreciate every little bit of affection he gives me, because he doesn't tend to give a lot.

I called my old job in Atlanta to talk to Samantha's doctor, and she said everyone loved the valentines I sent them, so that was good. They're all having a rough time at the clinic, which was good for me to hear so I don't fantasize about running back home to Atlanta anymore. I can be silly like that.

I got so much reading done for my classes last night, and I have plenty of time this weekend set aside for that, too, so I can finally catch up and feel like a good girl again. If only my Sherlock was here, in all his droopiness, to sit on the sofa and bark at me.
