It's after 4:00 am here in Atlanta, and I am living it up, here at home in my nightgown with my cats scratching at the door, because I can't sleep. I was in a nice warm bed with a good boy half an hour ago, but my insomnia's driving me crazy and I hate to keep other people from sleeping.

I am an idiot, by the way, because I left someone's car door unlocked the other night and his car stereo was stolen. I tried to make up for it, somewhat, today by straightening up the apt. a tiny bit and getting a few things at Target, but I imagine that for a music lover there isn't much worse than having no cd player or even radio to listen to in your car when you drive around to do stuff. This certain person has been exceedingly good to me, too, so it's that much worse. Bad me!

Samantha's doing very well, but no surgery yet. We took chest x-rays again on Thursday and there was still an undiscernable spot on her lung, so we're sending off her x-rays to UGA for a radiology consult. If the spot is cancer, then there is no point in putting her through a mascectomy, but if it's nothing, then we'll be able to do it soon. Right now I'm just happy that she is healthy and bright. Everyone's warm wishes were much appreciated! Thank you very much for all the sweet notes!

Also, when you're hanging out at the Clermont Lounge, remember that the dances last the duration of a song, and that you'd better nab the one hot stripper before she leaves or you're screwed and the fat one in red latex will have to be it. Stripper coodies suck, too. Why do their boobies smell so funny? I liked hanging out at the center of sleaze in Atlanta, but I've learned my lesson. Take off the glasses!
