Yay! I just got back to Houston a little while ago, and our new apartment is amazing! My room is huge and everything is open and white and brand new. I feel so lucky.

She's settling in pretty well, so that makes me happy, too.
My brother Daniel and I didn't argue once until we were about 30 miles from Houston; not bad for an 800 mile trip, right? He tolerated my Stones and Morphine pretty well, and I actually enjoyed his Pantera. It was perfect for driving through Southeast Texas at night.
We also got to enjoy the most delicious free-range turkey ever at the Bates House of Turkey in Greenville, Alabama. Now we know of at least one good thing about driving across that state. There can't be many more. Alabama's nasty!
We also got to drive through New Orleans, but I didn't have enough time to get my tattoo fixed.
It's alright, though, because I am back and my sweet puppy is with me.
