I am in love! I have a new boyfriend, and he's just what I like in a guy. He's big, strong, hairy, and LOVES to snuggle. His name is Dirk, and sadly, he is not a man, but a pit bull, and he belongs to my friend Sabra. Why is God so cruel? It's alright, though, 'cause Dirk and I had some great naps on Sabra's couch this week. He's such a love!

Alright, so I don't have a new boyfriend. Wouldn't that be news? I wish I had some lurid details to share about my encounter with some tall, dark stranger, but I don't. There is hope, though, because I'm going out with a cute redheaded chick sometime this weekend. Don't hold your breath, though; I am such a prude!

Tomorrow I have to go shopping (the horror) for one of the vets at the clinic; we're throwing her a going-away party on Sunday night. It looks like this weekend is going to be lots of fun, but I don't want to jinx it or anything. My expectations are low, so everything is nice for me.

I hope you all forgive me for changing my silly name, but I am tired of violetfemme. I've been violet something-or-another forever online, so I think I'll be bossanova now. It's not just a great genre of music, it's also a great Pixies album. Could there be a better alias for me?
