I'm so excited. This time around Election Day feels like Christmas, and it's great. I just hope it goes off without any of the scenarios conspiracy theorists have put forth, like the whole death of posse comitatus thing (thanks for scaring me even more, Naomi Wolf).

New Jersey was a blast. Tabi had me over to her house for a fabulous dinner of bacon-wrapped chicken drumsticks, garlic smashed potatoes, and spicy butternut squash soup (and of course, we had bacon for breakfast, too). Her dog, who normally doesn't like strangers, fell in love with me. It was so good to visit with two cute dogs, since my own are so far away. Also, the bus to her place was so plush and pimped out; I was expecting a city bus but instead I got a very comfortable ride with a great view of the city at night. It was great to get out of the city and have home-cooked meals, stay up until the wee hours watching HBO porn, and snuggle with some dogs.

Today we slept in super-late, had an awesome breakfast, took our sweet time getting ready, and made our way to the city to have some very spicy Thai in Jackson Heights with BigPoppa99, who's making a nice recovery.

Tomorrow I'm back to work. I'm actually glad about that, too.
