I feel like the littlest thing that ever was.
At the same time, I'm happy to be here. I can't complain about the way things are going. I want someone to grab me and shake me and hold me against them. I didn't realize how important physical affection was to me. It hasn't been that long at all since I slept with someone, and that's not the kind of affection I'm craving (though, I probably will soon). I think it's just the need for simple comfort, for a hug. I'm in a scary new place. My family hugs a lot: upon waking, upon going to bed, and when we leave eachother. I miss them already. It's amazing that in such a bustling city it's hard to feel close to people.
My favorite line from a boy the other night:
"Did you just say you're Brazilian and you love the Pixies? I thought I might have hallucinated that."
Yes I am and I do.
My favorite meal so far has been tapas and sangria at Xunta.
I can't wait to try some of the little places in my neighborhood. The smells when I get off the train are amazing...

Cities need Hug Ambassadors for just such occasions. But I think they'd attract the wrong element.
