I had a one-night stand with NYC this past weekend, followed by an awkward second night in a gaudy hotel room (Esther Williams-themed room, anyone?).

I tried to come home Sunday night because of some sad family issues, but I ended up stuck in the city with some great people. Things could have been so much worse; I'm so indebted to a couple of people it's ridiculous. I'm a lucky girl, all things considered.
