I went to a show last night - (got on the guest list and got drinks bought for me - woohoo!) once again it was Reeble jar - the band that i know here in town - and Carlos Washington was playing with them - he played trumpet with Carl Denison's Tiny Universe and The Greyboy Allstars. it was a pretty good show. i'm not too big on the type of music they play though - a bit funk and jazz. funk has it's place and all that - but i dunno - it is fine for about 2 or 3 songs then i want to hear something different.

it makes me want to start playing again - Charlie and i are going to start up here after i move in and just have some fun and see where it goes. i am not into funk that much though - i am more into blues, and harder stuff......

i didn't go to the after hours party - i was not into staying up till 5. it was already 2 at the time and i knew if i went to the party there was no way i was going to get home before 5. so i came home, got online for a bit - then went to bed. my body if thanking me now.

i am hoping that i get some money for my birthday from my dad. he usually comes through for me - and my fingers are definitely crossed.

i have to make myself get some homework done this weekend or else. i can't let it all fall on me at the last moment. i have done that in the past - and it is not fun....... having said that - i am homework bound ..............
