"Watch out for those rockabilly guys -- they're trouble."

The above was a statement offered by a passing girl as I was conversing with a female friend outside a club Friday night.
Nice.
There I was being the completely proper guy that I am and I'm pegged as 'trouble' because of a group stereotype.
Granted, it's true that some of us greaser kids are trouble [although, in defense, it seems like the trouble comes looking for us a fair amount of the time] but if you don't know me then stick your fist in your idiot pie-hole and zip it.
One thing I pride myself in is NOT being a 'player'. That's one stigma I want nothing to do with. Oh, I'm a cool guy because I have all these notches on my belt from the babes I've had. Um, no. I'll pass, thanks.
Another reason for the 'trouble' tag is that a few of my crowd like to brawl a bit. I'm rather sure this comes from the constant influx of, "Look, honey, it's Elvis", or "Why do you kids dress that way? The 50's is long gone", comments that you hear daily. You hear those so many times that eventually you want to smack someone.
Okay, so maybe our urge to mix it up doesn't come from that ... maybe it's the whisky.
Still, I attempt to avoid that kind of thing, too. I'm not opposed to an occasional scuffle if it warrants my attention, but I can honestly say I think I've only initiated one confrontation in my life.
Life's too short to fight everyone and everything.

Regardless, I am now tagged by even the occasional passerby as 'trouble'.

Guess it could have been worse -- I could have been tagged as Macbastard.

Just kiddin' Mac.

PS Day Two of 'The Bailey Celebration' continues. I even bought a pinata.

All people are wankers.
I like 50s style (a la Jolene etc). Sadly, it hasn't caught on over here. People in England dress like pricks.
