I got a call to tell me we're not going to be able to see the house this Sunday. The people who are renting the house aren't answering the phone when people are trying to set up us going to see it. I mean, I can understand, but it still sucks. The house has been for sale... Read More
I've been struggling with minor social anxiety for my whole life. It's really dependent on the situation for me. But I can only imagine what you're going through with all that! The best thing to do is just get out there and confront the anxieties.
I'm sorry about your bad day dear, and about your husband... you should go out and do something for yourself. Buy yourself a cute outfit or some ice cream. Maybe go to a spa, or something.
So, I did a whole whopping NOTHING today! LOL!
Of course it was 4/20 today, so I expected to do nothing. Plus, with it being the first full day of my child-free time...
Oh, what did I do? I played with photoshop some... I played a game on addictinggames.com... Watched WWE Raw, CSI, NCIS, and a few other shows...
I adore simple pleasures. They are the last refuge of the complex.

Kali is now safely in Guatemala. Got a call from her yesterday, and she's down there and having fun. Lily will be going to my mom's house tomorrow evening. Which means my official "child-free" week will be starting. WHOOOOHOOOO!
The traveler was active; he went strenuously in search of people, of adventure, of experience. The tourist is passive; he expects interesting things to happen to him. He goes "sight-seeing." ~Daniel J. Boorstin
According to the itinerary, Kali got to Honduras at 11:05 this morning, and traveled from there to Guatemala by now I'm sure. When she was saying goodbye last night, (spent the night... Read More
After looking back at my old posts, and seeing what I was doing 2 years ago with my blog, I think I'm going to start some of it again. The two I think I will start with, are the quotes of inspiration and the general questions to the masses (or the few at this point. LOL)...
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet... Read More
There's a lot of places I'd like to go, but if I had to pick just one I think it would be Ireland. I've always been super stoked about having a bit of Irish in me, and I've always wanted to go back and visit the land of my forefathers.
~ Hey there sailor...
~ So I read the whole sailblog. So did you ever hear of the book "The Boat That Wouldn't Float" by Farley Mowat... The one September entry was very suprising and sad. What led up to that, what was the last straw, and where were you? And then how did you sell the boat?
I LOVE this show! Last week, we started watching Spike's "Deadliest Warrior". Last week was Apache vs Gladiators, but this week it Viking vs Samurai. And next week is Ninja vs Spartan!
They compare the weapons, "shit talk", and input all the weapon info into a computer and run 1000 simulations and see which would be more likely to win.
OMG, I just finished watching the Viking vs. Samurai! I'm pretty pleased with the result. I'm not sure the Spartan is going to have a shot on the next one, though, even though I've LOVED Spartans since I was little.
So, I'm feeling a little better about the house and mortgage and all. Today we got another call from a mortgage company, they told us the same thing the last one did, if we clear up a few things on our credit and have 3% down, that we can get it.
But I'm not feeling as stressed about it. I'm trying to look at it... Read More
