Well, it was a long time coming I suppose. Add up all the years I've worked at the lake, I'm sure it's at least 10. Never dropped my keys in the water until today. At least I make a point of taking out on the docks just one key chain with only my truck key & two marina keys on it. I quit bothering to...

Yippie! My sister got the teaching job in Colorado Springs that She'd been hoping for. It was going to be that or Michigan. Colorado will be a much better place to visit. Michigan is too much like their current home, Buffalo. They (her & my brother in law) have no idea what they're in for. It'll be a super place for me to get out...

Congradulations to your sister ... which is also to you... for your vacation fun. My sister lives in new york...and I don't want her to leave for my own fun too. I fear that I am having difficulty spelling today or my fingers are not typing correctly....I do love remote controls for stereo's though...then I can put on my favorite song and keep mistyping away smile
dickiev:
Yeah, they probably appreciate poets more in Colorado than Michagan anyway. Thanks for the condolensces. My wife is beside herself with grief. He was like her best friend when I wasn't around (every night).

Saturday I drove my Dad to Kingman so he could pick up a new motorcycle, what a big kid he is. Today was superb. I took the triumph on one of my favorite local rides, down to the river at Nelson. The road from 95 to Nelson is deserted & has 2 straight sections that are maybe 7 or 10 miles long each, so I...

Sounds like a nice day. You should definately watch the movie again...that song is fantastic. It is a good kind of sad...in a way I feel better now. Much more cheerful. Its kind of like a realise feeling that way for awhile.

Currently I am scanning artwork to put on my page....back to the grind.

Hey man! You seem like a nice dude. Let the games begin!
Ah yes, radio birdman. I have seen them twice here in reunion tours. Rob Younger looks v-e-r-y old now, but Deniz Tek throws himself around like a 20 year old still.

Any other terminal singles hate valentines day? Let us paint the streets with the blood of happy couples. Then we can make out & go steady.

I agree...Valentine's day is wretched...forced depression due to no good reason except the greating card world telling you that you aren't getting anything...wretched I say smile

Thank you for your suggestions...I teach high school and I know that they would probably get into severed body parts. I already use the manical laugh when I threaten them to do their work or they will fail --- and I wont feel guily at all [insert laugh here]...they become quite amused at how good I am at that -- the laugh I mean and perhaps the lack of guilt at their own failure. I'm lucky though...my kiddies are actually really good.

I haven't been to first friday...although everyone keeps telling me to go...I should stop making excuses and venture out.

Back online. Did I miss any cool shit? Faded Grey reuinion(ish) show was off the hook. Saw tons of old friends. I wonder if all the shows at the roadhouse are big like that? Maybe I'll go check out curl up and die on Thursday. Boulder City is having a film festival next weekend, all short films. I'm a little concerned that it could be...

I'm out of order for a bit. Rebooted the 'puter & I don't have the driver for my modem. Been spending quality time with my various projects & working like mad also, so things are A-O.K. See ya soon.

Man, I got problems. Apparently I love to work and can't tolerate free time. I've had a ton of time off for the holidays, then more 'cause of all the rain. I was getting seriously unmotivated & kind of depressed. I got to work 12 hours today & feel like a new man. 12 more tomorrow, OH BOY!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!! The best part is...

chetmegadoom:
hey,

I've been looking at the new Thruxton for a few months now, and you're the only person I've seen that has purchased one and installed the after market pipes. The pipes make such a disappointing sound stock. Have the new ones improved the note?

chetmegadoom:
Thanks for the suggestions on the bike. Most of the stuff online seems to support the pipes you've got as the ones to have. I've been back to look at that damn bike twice now. Something holds me back a little bit though. Probably the MSRP and my desire to own a modern sport bike for once in my life.

Of course that's probably just my desire to compensate for my scootering about.

Had a lovely Christmas in Buffalo, plenty of snow. Sis let me use her car to do donuts in a highschool parking lot. Well she let me 'cause I was driving and she couldn't really reach me from the backseat. If you keep it spinning well enough the centrifugal force keeps the backseat passengers safely in their place. I got a t-shirt with lightning hopkins...

I'm on my way to Buffalo where it's presently 8 degrees above zero & there's a foot & a half of snow on the ground, I'm totally into that since I live in the desert. Have a merry Christmas everybody!
switch3sixty:
You go enjoy the snow mate, can't wait to hit the stuff myself again soon, we get tons of snow here in the UK, but most of it is the un-froozen type frown

I got an real hair cut today for the first time in at least 15 years. Since I graduated high school (1988) here's my hair history:
70% clippered it down to 1/4" once a month or so
10% let it grow without any cutting for maybe two years once.
20% let it grow out to about 3" everywhere before getting out the clippers again.
I'm...

It seems there's a bit of a rock revival happening. For the first time in my life I really do wish I could dance. These guys are my current favorites. Simple catchy stuff, plus they're the winner of this years "best name ever this year" award.

I usually go mon-fri. It starts at 12:15 but I usually get there by 11:45 to get a seat and get fed. It's on Charleston just west of Valley View on the south side of the streeet.
