Maybe it's just superstition, but sometimes having a positive outlook can make things better. Forget giving up on your life after you've gone this far. You have been through more than a lot of people, and you still manage to keep going day by day. Consider all of those pampered bitches out there who whine and moan every time they break a nail or get dumped by their current fling. I've developed the mindset that this shows a sign of independence: the only person you truly have to rely on is yourself, but have you given up entirely? No. You have the courage to face reality..that's more than can be said about a lot of people.

First of all, I know that I only know you through SG, but from reading your journals I have come to the conclusion that you are anything but wasted talent. You are the exact opposite. An incredible artist, talented writer, a great friend and quite supportive of your family. What more could one ask for?
We all want to be different. We all long for change and for moving our lives in a different direction. The fact that you can so clearly pinpoint exactly the way you feel shows that you are in fact a lot better off than most. It takes time. Things normally don't change in a heartbeat. Just keep doing what you are doing and most importantly stay positive. I know it can be hard, hell, I am such a pessimist at times, but really what has gotten me through most of my crap is staying positive and trying to look on the bright side of things.
Sorry for that long ramble. I just feel I relate so much to what you wrote in this entry because I was in a very similar position not too long ago. Now I am doing what I have wanted to do all along, but it took time. And I still have a long way to go, but I am gonna keep at it because I know in the long run it will pay off so very much...
I am sorry you were ill this week. I hope that you are able to rest up this weekend.

Coming from someone who went through a very similar situation: just let it be. As much of a pain in the arse as it can be, just be glad you met someone that great in the first place. Besides, as the friendship progresses it would probably make a relationship that much more awkward.

I loved the second Pirates. I can't really pinpoint the reasons as to why I enjoyed it so much, but I was deff. entertained throughout it. I guess I went into it not expecting too much (I mean the first one wasn't supposed to do well at all and look what happened!
I didn't want Italy to win either...Tee hee. I actually wanted Spain or Mexico to make it to the final...All well...There will be another one in four years
Have a blast paintballing this weekend! Can you believe I have never been paintballing? I must remedy that soon!
